All the latest SCOM news - live from Microsoft Ignite
Join Matthew Long and Richard Benwell live from the expo floor of Microsoft Ignite 2018.
The Squared Up team have been showing off all the awesome 4.0 features at the booth this week, so in this Coffee Break we thought we'd bring you all the latest news and events happening over at Microsoft Ignite. We briefly discuss the keynote before diving into all the SCOM news coming out of the event.
Matthew has attended various SCOM sessions, including "What's new in System Center 2019" - We cover all the details on what we can expect in the next release (scheduled Q1 2019) for not just SCOM, but all the products in the suite. Richard then takes us through the Azure Monitor announcements and the changes that expected to come with that, including: some name changes, retooling, and a definitive answer from Microsoft for which tools you should use to monitor On-prem and Cloud resources.
Let's dive in!
Apologies for the audio quality this month, as we were recording live from the Expo floor and using the conference WIFI there were some issues in the Webinar. Thanks to everyone who joined live (and in person!) and pushed through the issues - we'll make sure we have independent internet access next time!
