Announcing the newest member of the SquaredUp team

As we get ready to kick off Day 1 at Ignite, we’re delighted to publicly announce the newest member of the SquaredUp team, Tao Yang, MVP, @MrTaoYang

Many of you will already know Tao from his work as a Microsoft MVP for System Center Cloud and Datacenter Management, through his blog and from his enormous contribution to the SCOM technical community.

In his previous role as a Senior Systems Engineer at a leading Australian retailer, where he was responsible for one of the world’s largest SCOM deployments, Tao was an early adopter and champion of SquaredUp, quickly recognising it as the outstanding dashboard and visualisation solution for SCOM.

Likewise, in his role as an independent technical blogger, Tao has written eloquently about SquaredUp a number of times, showing how it can be used to help solve real world SCOM problems.

So, when we heard that Tao was taking the next step in his career and starting work as an independent consultant - - we jumped at the chance to work with him.

Tao shares our belief in the power of SCOM and a deep desire to help its users get much, much more from it. This shines through in the quality and depth of the work he’s produced over the last few years, work that’s been done entirely in his own personal time; from highly detailed technical blogs, to creating rich SCOM resource libraries for public use, to authoring and making freely available some fantastic Management Packs.

From the quality of his work, his reputation in the wider MVP community and our own experience of working with him as a customer, we know Tao would be great fit for SquaredUp, our mentality and everything the team here is trying to achieve.

So we’re really excited to be able to say that for the next 6 months, Tao will be working with SquaredUp to help our customers and the community in general do more with both SquaredUp and SCOM itself.

If you’re out at Ignite, why not drop by the SquaredUp booth (#217) and come say hi to both SquaredUp and to Tao and learn a bit more about some of the things we have planned.

It’s great for us to be able to start Ignite with a bang, and keep your eyes peeled as we have lots more news to come…
