Any of your dashboards - whether that’s a custom-built dashboard or one of the many pre-built dashboards provided by the Community – can be published as an “Open Access” dashboard, which creates a live but non-interactive version of the dashboard that users can access without a Squared Up license or SCOM credentials.
Open Access means you can share dashboards extremely widely, without additional cost of Squared Up licenses or putting a heavy burden on SCOM. Open Access dashboards are ideal for sharing via wall monitors and / or with users who just want high-level information and don’t need to drilldown or interact with the data. Whilst each Open Access dashboard is non-interactive, they always present your current/live data, automatically refreshing every 60 seconds.
If you’re still not sure why you’d want to use Open Access for, check out this blog post (3 minute read) which provides a high-level summary of the benefits. Once you’re onboard with that, check out the technical webinar below (40 minute watch) which takes you under the hood of Open Access.
There are many different contexts in which you might want your users to access Squared Up - beyond just the console itself - including NOC wall monitors, web portals (such as SharePoint), ITSM tools or even other monitoring products.
Squared Up makes it easy to tailor your dashboards to best suit the audience and the location where you’re publishing them to.
The webinar below (30 minute watch), takes a tour through the different use cases, including lots of handy design tips for creating dashboards for use wall monitors or within portals.
