In this month’s Citrix Masterclass, Richard Benwell presented a new community Management Pack for simulating logons to Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop via NetScaler and StoreFront.
The challenge was to be able to create a MP that, once installed and configured, would perform regular, automated application launches in Citrix to ensure your applications are available to end users. With this in place, you can receive proactive email notifications for any outage, build dashboards to show real-time availability, and create management reports to demonstrate Citrix uptime and availability, all using your existing SCOM monitoring infrastructure.
In this webinar, Richard walks us through how the Community Citrix Logon Simulator Management Pack was developed and how it works. This is an open source management pack that you can download and use freely in your own environment – read more about this in the GitHub Repo.
