Tracking the M365 license allocation status is an important task for an M365 admin. By tracking this metric, you can also gauge the adoption of M365 in your organization and gain an insight into any potential misassignments of licenses, making optimum use of the licenses you've purchased.
Here in this dashboard, I've done the same. Let's take a look:
I used SquaredUp's M365 dashboard plugin to create this visualization. As you can see, the tile on the top tracks which licenses have been allotted to an individual in the organization. This is a quick way to find out what tools does an individual have access to.
Then I made several sections below – Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, and SharePoint – to track the license allocation as well as its usage. The usage is being tracked with the stats such as:
With this overview at-a-glance, we are able to optimally use our licenses internally and make sure everyone is assigned the right licenses, and no licenses are being wasted.
